Google Pixel 4a, A Better Successor

The Google Pixel 4a is the successor to the most popular mid-range smartphone of 2019 and keeps many of the features that made the Pixel 3a shine. Great camera software, clean Android interface, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a great price. This is a solid choice for anyone looking for more for their Google Pixel 4a

There are a lot of things can happen in 1 year & a more competitive mid-range market will emerge in 2020, especially for the 2020 iPhone SE with better batteries. The competition also shows more flaws in the Pixel 4a, from shorter battery life when phones of similar prices have metal and glass cases, to polycarbonate cases. Plus, there isn’t an unfortunate XL version for those who like more screen space.

The Pixel 4a has a 5.8-inch OLED display. That’s fine, but it could be a bit smaller for those who prefer a bigger screen. Here, too, the full-length display is significantly larger than the 4.7-inch screen of the 2020 iPhone SE and the large upper and lower bezels.

Battery Life

The Pixel 4a’s 3,140 mAh battery isn’t small, but the battery life (sometimes you find it because you only have one number left at the end of the day) isn’t good. Especially when an equivalent low-cost cell phone like the Moto G8 series starts with a 4000mAh battery.

Google Pixel 4a Camera

The Google Pixel 4a only has a 12.2 MP f / 1.7 camera on the back, but it works like a miracle in Google’s software. This not only allows you to take great photos at night or in portrait orientation, but also provides more depth after taking them. The smartphone also inherits the Pixel 4’s astrophotography mode, which takes beautiful photos of the starry sky. The 8 MP front camera is nothing special, it uses software.
