Ham Radio

I (Greg Porter) was licensed in 1985 as N6MOQ (I held the "old style" Technician license, as I passed Morse code at 5 words per minute and the General license questions.)  This was grandfathered into a General license in 2005.

I'll try most anything once or twice, but I like VHF and UHF weak signal work, and I'm working on getting involved in microwaves .  I am currently serving as Secretary for the Paso Robles Amateur Radio Club.

I am a member of the American Radio Relay League, Tucson Amateur Packet Radio, the Western States Weak Signal Society and the San Bernadino Microwave Society.
